Stephen King said, "To write is human; to edit is divine."
The process of bringing copy to a more perfect condition is exhilarating for me. I love getting my own work back to me covered in red. (This just means it was worth saving!) Likewise, I believe in using my editing education and experience to help others bring their work to its full potential.

Design
Though my professional experience in this area is limited to impromptu work for social media accounts, I have taken several graphic design classes in college. I feel confident in my abilities to create beautiful visuals using Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator. This is a skill I want to continue developing. You can see some samples here.

Writing Work
My writing and editing skills are some of my best strengths. Even before I knew I wanted to go into PR, I knew I wanted to write creatively. And that's exactly what PR writing has given me the opportunity to do: flex my creative muscles to persuasively convince people to care about the subject of my writing.

Photography
Photography is a hobby that spilled over into my professional life when I was working for a nonprofit in Utah. In that scrappy, fast-paced environment, it was important for me to be able to step up and fill the need of providing visuals for my content. It was also nice to have someone in the office who could take the good head shots for our website.

Social Media Work
Every PR job comes with some level of social media management, which means I've got a ton of exposure with the platforms.
Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and others are constantly evolving—they're digital hydras—so it's been a fun experience to keep up with them.
